Three questions for Miriam Schuchmann

To help you get to know the faces behind our products better, we’ll be introducing a new member of the Schuchmann team every month as part of our ‘Three questions for’ series.

This time, we interviewed Miriam Schuchmann, our company’s managing director. Miriam runs the business as a family enterprise in its second generation, together with her husband Torsten!

1. What’s the one thing you couldn’t start your working day without?

First thing in the morning at the office, I always make myself a large pot of fresh ginger and lemon tea. It stops me from drinking too much coffee and tastes lovely every morning.

2. Do you tend to listen to your gut or your head?

I’m a rational sort of person, but in my experience it’s still better to listen to your gut. If you have a bad feeling about something, there’s usually some truth in it.

3. When was the last time you laughed?

It certainly hasn’t been an hour yet. But the last time I had a proper fit of laughter was at a performance by Helge Schneider. His humour really strikes a chord with me – I literally fall off my chair with laughter.
