Three questions for Nick

At Schuchmann, we manufacture innovative therapy equipment. Behind each of these products are people who work every day to help make everyday life a little easier for disabled children and teens. We would like to introduce you to some of these people in our series “Three questions for …”.

This month it’s Nick’s turn. Nick Hardy works as a Product Specialist in the south-east of England. He joined Schuchmann in April 2021. Nick is 51 and has been working with children and young adults for close to 20 years.

Nick, why do you like working at Schuchmann?

Life at Schuchmann has been an absolute pleasure right from the start. I have always felt completely at home working with our UK and German colleagues alike. I find it very rewarding to be part of a dedicated team who are focused on helping support children and young adults with their individual requirements.

How do you like to spend your free time when you are not working for Schuchmann?

I really enjoy film and theatre in my spare time. Over the years I have built up an extensive array of film memorabilia. Being a child of the 70’s most of my collections are based around the Star Wars movies along with Jaws and Alien.

What is the best thing about your job as a Product Specialist?

It’s the children and young adults that I get to meet. Quite simply they are the ones who I’m inspired by and it’s so much fun trying to help find solutions to support them in their everyday lives. No two days are ever the same and again it’s purely down to the children who I must thank for that ongoing pleasure.
