New sponsor elephant for Schuchmann.

Schuchmann extends our animal sponsorship with Osnabrück Zoo. Our former sponsor elephant Minh-Tan left Osnabrück Zoo in the summer moving to Heidelberg Zoo so we have happily moved our sponsorship to Minh-Tan’s little brother Yaro.

Our former sponsor elephant Minh-Tan left Osnabrück Zoo in the summer. Minh-Tan was very mature for his age, there had been some friction in the enclosure with his fellow elephants, in which the elephants measure their strength. A very natural behaviour, but one that is also associated with problems in the long run. The Zoo made the decision to move Minh-Tan to Heidelberg and are pleased that he has settled in very well. The herd at Heidelberg already contains members of his family and is closely related to the herd here in Osnabrück Zoo so it was a perfect fit.

We are all the more pleased that we can now continue with the sponsorship of one-year-old bull Yaro. This makes perfect sense as elephants and Schuchmann simply go together. The pachyderms are family animals who lovingly care for their offspring and other herd members, this is something very close to our heart. As part of his sponsorship Schuchmann support Osnabrück Zoo helping with the cost of Yaro‘s feeding, care and medical treatment, there are also always little surprises in between.
