Three questions for James

Behind each of our products are people who work every day to help make everyday life a little easier for disabled children and teens. We would like to introduce you to some of these people in our series “Three questions for …”.

James Lloyd is responsible for the Technical Service and Logistics. He is 41 years old, married and has three children. But as the children are already grown up, James and his wife Angela have two lovely Shih Tzu dogs “Buster and Oscar” that keep them entertained. James’ heart beats for football: “During the football season, myself and Angela run a Mini Soccer venue for 300 Children aged 7-10 years where we play up to 50 games across the Saturday and Sunday. We are a very big football family as our son Aaron is a Highly qualified Referee. When we are not at the venue, we are watching him Referee United Counties League games.”

James, how long do you already work for Schuchmann?

I have worked for Schuchmann since april 2021.

How has your job changed since you started working for us?

Over the 1st 2 years of my life with Schuchmann, my job role has evolved and changed at a very fast pace as the UK business has grown at a very fast pace. Currently my role is very broad from Warehouse & logistics / Purchasing / Stock Control and Technical Service. My time is split between working in the office and also out in the field, carrying out Service and repairs. Recently I have worked alongside David Tollerfield very closely creating the new Madita Mini Express service that we released this month.

Where did you spend your summer holiday?

This summer I visited Egypt for the first time on my summer holiday. The temperature was 40 degrees in the day and 34 degrees at night. The air con in the room was very much needed but I had a very enjoyable break.

Thank you for letting us get to know you better, James!
