Happy 5th Birthday, Schuchmann LLP!
So much has happened since we started on the 1st January 2017. We take a look back on five exciting and eventful years in the UK.
When Schuchmann UK was founded we had 7 team members and no customers. Five years later we have doubled the number of people in our team and are working with physios and OT‘s from Lands End to John O‘ Groats. Here is a little insight into how we have developed over the past 5 years.
Our top priority at Schuchmann is to ensure that the children are given aids that precisely fit his or her needs and enhance their quality of life and independance.
Our philsophy at Schuchmann is to always reccommend the correct product to suits the childs needs even if we cannot supply it. This provides us with a huge challenge to make sure that our product range is the best – this is what drives us! Our UK range started out small with only 8 products in our portfolio, after 5 years of listening to our customers and hard work we now have a range of 15 seating, standing, walking, bathing and travelling products. The new ted. standing frame is ready to be launched this month too which will take us to 16. This development is normal at Schuchmann and we won’t stop there – we have plans for at least another 2 new products in 2022 and many more to follow. We have always been incredibly focused on what we want to achieve and product development and innovation is at the forefront of our company.
Over 5000 orders for Schuchmann Products!
We can look back on thousands of successful product setups over the past 5 years too, in fact in November 2021 we received our 5000’th order which was a very proud moment. We are overjoyed that the children and young people who we see everyday benefit so much from the aids we manufacture and supply.
We have visited numerous shows and exhibitions too. The first exhibition we attended was Kidz to Adultz Middle at the Richo Arena in March 2017, nobody knew who we were or what we did but it was great to meet so many new faces. The two most recent shows we attended were; Kidz to Adultz North in Liverpool which was our busiest show by far, it was a far cry from 2017, and the OT show at the NEC in Birmingham at which our Training Manager Andrea presented our philosophies and findings to over 50 therapits at two presentations. 2021 also saw the launch of the Schuchmann Roadshow where we visited 5 different venues in Scotland, England and Wales in a week. The roadshow saw us meet with over 100 OT’s accross the country to discuss topics around the ICF and how clincial reasoning informs our product development. Look out for our 2022 dates and agenda which will be announced very soon!
There have been so many amazing challenges and experiences over the past 5 years and we are looking forward to many more to come. We are excited to see what the next 5 years bring but for now lets say Happy 5th Birthday Schuchmann LLP.
