Happy Halloween Minh-Tan!

Our adopted elephant Minh-Tan and his family at Osnabrück Zoo received a surprise for Halloween: very special pumpkins.

The Schuchmann team have used all their crafting talents and lovingly carved the company logo – the little elephant manni. into the pumpkin skins. The pumpkins were then placed in the enclosure.

Playing with the food

A loud squeal of joy could be heard when the little elephant bull, Minh-Tan, discovered the pumpkins. He and his family immediately stormed towards them. Minh-Tan didn’t want to eat the pumpkins at first.Like a little child he decided to play with the pumpkins, he gave them a kick and the big round orange fruit flew through the enclosure like a football. Goal!

Only during “extra time” did Minh-Tan crush the pumpkin with his foot, breaking it into bite size pieces. This tasted so good. His loud munching could be heard all the way to the fence.
