Three questions for Torsten

Behind each of our products are people who work every day to help make everyday life a little easier for disabled children and teens. We would like to introduce you to some of these people in our series “Three questions for …”.

Torsten Schuchmann is the managing director of Schuchmann and, together with his wife Miriam, he manages the family business in the second generation. The reason they have focused their efforts on childrens’ rehabilitation equipment has its origins in their own family. “We know what it means to accompany a multiple-disability, severely handicapped person. When Miriam’s sister was young, however, the development of rehabilitation equipment was still at a very early stage.”

1. Torsten, what has been your favourite “Schuchmann moment” so far?

My favourite “Schuchmann moments” are at the trade fairs every year. The direct dialogue with customers on site and the children and young people trying out the products at the trade fair stands are one of the many appointments I look forward to every year.

2. What is your favourite country?

I travel a lot for work and have therefore seen many different countries. Every country is special in its own way and it’s really difficult for me to pick out just one country. From a purely culinary and scenery point of view, I would probably choose Italy.

3. Do you have a favourite product?

We get a lot of positive feedback about our momo tricycle. For most children, riding a bike is motivating and they often don’t even realise that they are undergoing therapy too. Cycling offers a number of therapeutic benefits, this makes the momo tricycle. an important aid for children and young people.

Thank you for answering our three questions, Torsten. We are delighted that you are putting so much heart and soul into your work!
